STORY
Drew began collecting new and gently used sports gear in 2023, inspecting and cleaning every piece in his basement before donating it to youth organizations.
His work eventually attracted the attention of New York State Senator Joseph Addabbo, Jr., who honored Drew with an official citation recognizing his commitment to community service and youth development.
As word spread, fellow students joined the cause, and what began as a one-person project became a community movement.
Today, Play It Forward Sports has donated over 700 pieces of equipment, with one goal that has never changed: making sure every kid gets to play.
Drew Siegel is a high school student from Roslyn, New York.
He founded Play It Forward Sports because he believed that the growing cost of youth sports could prevent participation and he wanted to change that.
Drew is also a strong supporter of animal rights and is passionate about using data and technology to address social problems.
